Fortitudo Shakes Up the A2 Market with Todor Radonjic

Fortitudo has made another key addition to its roster for next season: Todor Radonjic has signed a two-year contract with the blue-and-white club. Following the arrivals of Guariglia and Zanelli, the club has thus added another valuable player to its wing position—a player who was highly sought after by the coaching staff.
A 29-year-old Montenegrin from Podgorica, standing 197 centimeters tall and weighing 94 kilograms, Radonjic has spent the last two seasons with Valtur Brindisi, a team he also captained. A reliable and selfless player on both ends of the court, he came up through the ranks at Stella Azzurra, earning Italian citizenship, before building his career through stints with Roseto, Tortona, Siena, Fabriano, Latina, and Forlì.
In the last regular season, he averaged 7.5 points in 24 minutes of playing time, shooting 52% from the field, 43% from three-point range, and 83% from the free-throw line. He added an average of 4 rebounds and 1 assist to those numbers, posting a season-high 19 points in the 77-70 playoff victory over Verona.
“I chose Fortitudo because of the club’s tradition and history, but also because of the ambition the team has this year,” said the Balkan player. “I’m a Partizan fan, and knowing that the team has such a dedicated following—and having seen the atmosphere at the PalaDozza—played an important role in my decision to sign with Fortitudo, because those are things that motivate me even more.”
