F1, at Yas Marina Ferrari stakes all its credibility
The Redhead has never won in Abu Dhabi.
The final round of the F1 World Championship is being run this weekend. At the Yas Marina circuit, Ferrari is called upon to have a great finish to the season so as not to see the good things done so far compromised. Leclerc wants to preserve second place in the drivers’ standings. At the moment, the Monegasque is second on equal points with Perez (290). Ferrari is also in danger in the constructors’ standings with Mercedes, reborn in recent GPs, just 19 points behind and ready to overtake.
Abu Dhabi does not bring great luck to Ferrari. Since it has been raced at the Yas Marina circuit (2009), Ferrari has never won once. The king is Hamilton who, in Abu Dhabi, has won five times (more than anyone). Watch out for Verstappen. The two-time World Champion, after disappointing at Interlagos, aims to end the season with yet another GP win.
Ferrari was founded in 1947 by Enzo Ferrari, in Maranello, in the province of Modena. It is involved in the Formula One World Championship, where it holds the record for the number of world Constructors’ titles won (16), and in the FIA Sport Prototypes and Endurance World Championships. The official symbol is that of the prancing horse on a yellow background, the color representing the city of Modena.
