Turin Transfer Market: Urbano Cairo Picks Up Free Agents

After a season of ups and downs, Torino has decided to start fresh with Ignazio Abate. The former Juve Stabia coach, who also has experience with Milan Futuro and Ternana, has been working for some time to rebuild the team and has asked management for several new signings.

Abate urgently needs to shore up the right flank, and in recent weeks there has been talk of a possible return for Matteo Darmian, who wore the Granata jersey from 2011 to 2015; however, in the last few hours, there has been persistent talk at Torino about Krépin Diatta.

A fullback blessed with tremendous speed, Diatta came up through the ranks at Oslo FA Dakar before moving to Sarpsborg 08 in Norway. He later transferred to Club Brugge and, in 2021, was signed by Monaco for nearly 17 million euros. A free agent since June, he is looking for a new challenge.

According to English sources, Krépin Diatta has reportedly received several offers from MLS and the Saudi Pro League, but his desire is to continue playing in Europe to test himself in the top leagues.

The possibility of signing Kayne Ramsay, a winger owned by Charlton Athletic, also remains on the table. Ramsay was born in 2000 and has played in the Championship over the past few seasons, where he has demonstrated great reliability and consistency. He can play both as a fullback and as a winger covering the entire flank in a five-man midfield.
