Andrew Andrews Set to Join Serie A

The Serie A basketball league is set to welcome Andrew Andrews, a point guard born in 1991 who is about to sign with Scaligera Basket Verona. According to a report by ‘TeleNuovo,’ the club has stepped up its efforts in recent hours to finalize the deal as soon as possible and provide coach Alessandro Ramagli with a versatile player with proven experience.

A native of Portland standing 188 centimeters tall, Andrews graduated from Washington University in 2016 and immediately embarked on a European adventure after going undrafted in the NBA Draft. In the 2016–2017 season, he played for Balikesir, while the following season he attempted to re-enter the top North American league via the G League, playing for the Delaware 87ers.

However, the call from Europe was not long in coming, and as early as 2018, it brought him to VEF Riga in Latvia. From there, a long journey took him to play for Hapoel Afula and Maccabi Haifa (Israel), Tuyap Buyucekmece, Darussafaka, and Bursaspor (Turkey), Panathinaikos (Greece), Joventut Badalona (Spain), BC Wolves (Lithuania), and finally the Cairns Taipans (Australia).

Andrews also played for the U.S. national team, which finished third in the 2025 AmeriCup: he made two appearances, both against Brazil—first in the 90-78 victory in the group stage and then in the 92-77 semifinal loss.
