ATP Rankings: Jannik Sinner Climbs to No. 83, Carlos Alcaraz Regains Second Place

His lead is so wide that Jannik Sinner can take things as he pleases. Despite not having played since winning Wimbledon, the Italian continues to dominate the ATP rankings.

The South Tyrolean remains in the lead with 13,450 points. For Jannik Sinner, this marks his 83rd week as world No. 1. Behind him, however, it is no longer Sasha Zverev but Carlos Alcaraz (who is about to return to the tour and make up for lost time due to a wrist injury). The 19-year-old Rafael Jodar has made a huge leap forward: he’s now ranked 15th in the world.

Jannik Sinner is currently 18 weeks away from ninth place on the all-time list of players with the most weeks as world No. 1. Ahead of him is a legend like Andre Agassi at 101 weeks. The race continues unabated.

The other Italian, Flavio Cobolli, also has reason to smile; with 3,330 points, he is now in eighth place overall in the rankings. Lorenzo Musetti is also doing well, climbing back up to 13th place—a two-spot improvement from last week’s ranking.
