2026/27 Serie A: The season kicks off with Milan vs. Trieste; Virtus Bologna takes the court in Varese
The schedule for the 2026/27 Serie A regular season has been released. The season will tip off on September 27, one week after the season’s first event, the 2026 LBA Super Cup at the Nova Arena in Tortona, scheduled for September 19 and 20. The final round of the regular season is scheduled for Sunday, May 9, 2027.
On opening day, the reigning Italian champions will host Pallacanestro Trieste at the Forum. Virtus Bologna will open its season on the road against OpenJobMetis Varese. BC Roma SPQR will play its first game on the road against Nutribullet Treviso. Maxima Roma, meanwhile, will host Napoli Basketball.
The league matchup between the two teams competing in the EuroLeague again this year, Armani Olimpia Milano and Virtus Bologna, will take place on the weekend of October 25, 2026 (Round 5) at the Unipol Forum in Assago and on January 24, 2027 (Round 17) at the Unipol Hall in Bologna.
The 2026–27 Serie A season will also feature the Rome derby between Maxima and BC SPQR, which will be played in the 3rd round (October 11, 2026) and the 17th round (January 24, 2027).
Among the dates fans will mark in red on their calendars are Cantù vs. Varese (December 6, 2026, and February 7, 2027), Napoli vs. Scafati (November 8, 2026, and February 14, 2027), Treviso vs. Venezia (October 25, 2026, and January 24, 2027), and Udine vs. Trieste (December 6, 2026, and January 31, 2027). During the Christmas season, Serie A will play two rounds: Sunday, December 20, and Sunday, December 27.
