Farewell to the beloved singer-songwriter Francesco Guccini: he was 86 years old

The popular singer-songwriter, writer, and actor Francesco Guccini has died at the age of 86. The sad news was announced by his family.
Born in Modena on June 14, 1940, he moved to Bologna at a very young age. It was there that he began composing many of his masterpieces. Over the course of his long career, he released more than 20 albums.
He also worked as a journalist and, for about two decades, taught at the Bologna campus of Dickinson College.
“In accordance with his wishes, the funeral will take place in the coming days and will be strictly private,” the family’s statement read.
