Dusan Vlahovic, New Transfer Rumor: A Top Club Wants Him

Dusan Vlahovic is certainly among the best players currently without a team, as he looks for a new home after leaving Juventus. The Serbian center forward has long been on the radar of several Turkish clubs, but he is not convinced he wants to continue his career in the Süper Lig.
According to Spanish sources, Atlético Madrid has returned with renewed vigor to pursue Vlahovic. The Colchoneros are finalizing the transfer of Alexander Sørloth to Fenerbahçe (reportedly for around 40 million euros), and the Serbian forward—formerly of Fiorentina and Juventus—is the top candidate to replace him.
A move to Madrid would certainly be welcome by Vlahovic, even though the striker’s first choice was to transfer to the Premier League. So far, however, no English club has contacted his representatives, and time to find a new team is running out.
The possibility of seeing Dusan Vlahovic at Juventus next season is remote, though not entirely out of the question. Luciano Spalletti holds the Serbian in high regard and has never hidden that fact, but the player’s financial demands would need to be significantly scaled back.
“I did everything that fell within my purview before the season ended; I make technical assessments, but there’s another financial aspect that’s not my responsibility,” Spalletti said in July. “After the season ended, I haven’t spoken to him again, but he knows how I feel about him. Our directors always keep their office doors open; of course, you have to ring the intercom to get in.”
