Juventus Transfer Market: Two Signings from Milan; Talks Already Underway

Juventus’s top priority in the transfer market is to resolve the goalkeeper situation. Michele Di Gregorio is not part of Luciano Spalletti’s future plans and could end up at Valencia; to replace him, the Bianconeri are working on the Dibu Martinez option. The Argentine has already been the subject of talks with the Old Lady in recent weeks, but it appears a window of opportunity has reopened.

Once a new goalkeeper is signed, Juventus will be able to focus on other deals, and the Turin-Milan axis (on the Rossoneri side) could heat up. Juventus has already had some informal contact regarding Youssouf Fofana, who is no longer part of Ruben Amorim’s plans and is valued by Milan at just under 20 million euros.

The rugged midfielder has had mixed performances in recent years, and Amorim wants to give Ardon Jashari another chance. To do so, however, they need to offload the Frenchman, who, in addition to Juventus, is also attracting interest from several Spanish and English clubs.

Giovanni Carnevali could orchestrate a double signing from Milan: in addition to Fofana, he is also very keen on Fikayo Tomori, whom he has already scouted in previous seasons. The English center back’s contract with the Rossoneri expires in 2027, and the signing of Mario Gila is a clear sign of Amorim’s lack of confidence in the former Chelsea player.

15 million might be enough to sign Tomori: Milan would prefer to sell him abroad to avoid strengthening a direct rival, but so far no concrete offers have come in, and the Bianconeri could take advantage of this. Furthermore, the Englishman’s rapidly approaching contract expiration does not give the Rossoneri much room to maneuver.

Fresh off a come-from-behind victory against Manchester United, Milan is preparing for its league opener against Torino. Ruben Amorim is preparing his players for a season that is sure to be very demanding, between the league and the Europa League, while the front office is working hard to offload surplus players.

In addition to Youssouf Fofana and Fikayo Tomori, there’s the major issue of Rafael Leao. For Amorim, he is not untouchable; Arsenal and Galatasaray are watching closely, but so far no one has offered the 40–50 million euros demanded by Gerry Cardinale to let the Portuguese player go.
