Napoli Transfer Market: Battle with Juventus for the Premier League Striker

Napoli is looking for a striker following Romelu Lukaku’s departure and continues to look to the Premier League as its primary transfer market. Massimiliano Allegri wants an experienced, world-class striker who can adapt immediately and make an impact in the Italian league.
In recent weeks, Napoli has been courting Gabriel Jesus, who is set to leave Arsenal, but according to Sky, two other players are catching the eye of the club’s transfer team: Joshua Zirkzee of Manchester United and Nicolas Jackson of Chelsea. Both players are set to leave their respective clubs, and both command very high salaries: to pull off the deal, Napoli will first need to complete some sales in the attack, such as that of Noa Lang.
In particular, Napoli is reported to have made an inquiry about Zirkzee, a long-standing target of Juventus. The Bianconeri have been after the player for some time but must sell Jonathan David before making any moves in the attack: a battle with the Neapolitans is looming on the horizon for the former Bologna player, who is unlikely to stay at Manchester United and is open to returning to Italy to relaunch his career.
As for Lang, the situation is more complicated than expected. The Atalanta option remains open, but De Laurentiis is reportedly unwilling to accept a loan deal, preferring a permanent transfer to maximize the return. Galatasaray is very interested in the player; the Dutchman had already played for the Turkish club during the second half of last season: The Turks are said to have made an initial offer of 15 million euros, a figure deemed insufficient by Napoli, which had set the buyout clause at 25 million when the player was loaned out in the winter. Ajax has also expressed interest and is now considered the front-runner to sign the former Feyenoord winger.
