Juventus Transfer Market: After Yildiz, the English Want Another Star. Spalletti Says No

With just over a week left until the Serie A transfer window closes, Juventus is working tirelessly to reshape its offense. The signings of Randal Kolo Muani, Jeff Ekhator, and Kerim Alajbegovic have significantly boosted the team’s quality, but now the club needs to make some sales.

In recent hours, Chelsea has sounded out Francisco Conceição as a possible replacement for Pedro Neto, making contact with Simone Inzaghi’s Al Hilal regarding a transfer that promises to be very lucrative for both the Blues and the player.

Luciano Spalletti was informed of Chelsea’s interest but immediately told Giovanni Carnevali that he did not want to part ways with Conceição. The Certaldo-born coach holds the Portuguese winger in very high regard and is convinced he can perform very well this season; for this reason, he has opposed the sale of the former Porto player.

Certainly, however, someone will have to leave Turin. The list of departing players certainly includes Jonathan David and Arkadiusz Milik; it remains to be seen whether both might leave or just one of the two. The former has received offers from England and France but is waiting for a call from a top club (which hasn’t come yet), while the latter isn’t in high demand on the transfer market.

As for Kenan Yildiz, the chances of him leaving Juventus are very low: he’s happy in Turin and feels valued. Arsenal reportedly was willing to offer 100 million euros for him, but the Bianconeri have drawn a firm line: “They can offer whatever they want; I want to put Yildiz on the field next season,” Spalletti said at a press conference. “Yildiz is the perfect guy to have mature conversations with; he knows very well that he shouldn’t rush anything.”

“His future is already important at Juventus. He’s already at the club that’s offering 100 million for him. We’re calm and eager. And I think he, too, wants to show his full potential,” declared the Bianconeri’s head coach.
