2026 ATP Finals: Sinner and Zverev Have Already Qualified—How Many Matches Will It Take to Make It to Turin?

There are still many tournaments to come before the 2026 ATP Finals, scheduled to take place in Turin from November 15 to 22. However, some are already starting to crunch the numbers to figure out who the eight “masters” will be at the 2026 event.

At the moment, two players have secured their spots: Sinner and Zverev. The Italian has had the numbers to qualify for some time now, while the German clinched his spot mathematically after triumphing at the US Open (his second Grand Slam title of the season).

Alcaraz and Shelton are, in fact, also already certain they can book a hotel in Turin to play in the ATP Finals. They have a massive lead over the competition, so, in effect, they’re not taking any risks. And what about the other four spots? The Race is, at the moment, intriguing.

Cobolli, fifth in the Race with 3,530 points, must not squander the good work he’s done so far. It won’t take much to earn a chance to compete in the ATP Finals alongside Sinner. Next in line are Tiafoe, Fils, and Medvedev (the 2020 champion), but keep an eye on De Minaur and Auger-Aliassime, who—with a strong finish to the season—could sneak back in at the wire. As it stands, these would be the eight players qualified for the ATP Finals. And Djokovic? Unfortunately, the Serb now appears to be out of the running. Currently ranked 15th in the Race, he seems truly out of contention, and in some ways, this marks the end of an era.
