Roma Transfer News: The Striker’s Sister-in-Law Joins the Giallorossi, Too

A new Dutch talent has joined Roma Women’s youth academy. Her name is Silver Van Hetten, a 17-year-old forward and the younger sister of Donyell Malen’s wife. The Giallorossi player himself celebrated the young woman’s new chapter in Rome on social media; he has been close to her for many years.

The Dutch forward shared some photos with her to celebrate her arrival at Roma, expressing his pride in this new step in her career.

The new player for Roma’s Primavera team has already had a taste of Italian soccer. She made her debut as a substitute in the away match against Fiorentina, which Roma won 2-1 on the first day of the Primavera league.

For the 17-year-old, this is her first experience away from the Netherlands. Before moving to Italy, she played for Hera United, a club that had acquired the Telstar name to compete in the top Dutch division but was relegated at the end of last season. Given her young age, Van Hetten has so far built her career primarily in the youth ranks.

Her goal now is to develop within Roma’s youth academy and gradually work her way toward the first team, with the dream of one day playing alongside Giugliano and the other stars of the senior squad.
