Parma: Drobnic Returns Immediately After His Injury—Here’s How He’s Doing

Dominik Drobnic is returning to Italy immediately, and that’s not good news for Parma. The Slovenian Under-21 defender, who limped off the field after the match against Genoa due to a collision during play, underwent medical tests with his country’s medical staff, which revealed a fracture of the scaphoid bone in his left wrist.

The player has therefore returned immediately to Emilia, where he will undergo several tests and consultations in the coming days to determine the next steps. Cuesta had been counting heavily on Drobnic in these early matches for the Gialloblu, and now risks losing the player for some time.

“Parma Calcio 1913 announces that player Dominik Drobnic, following an accidental collision during Sunday’s match against Genoa, sustained a severe injury to his left wrist. Following diagnostic tests, conducted upon his arrival at the Slovenian U21 national team’s training camp, a scaphoid fracture was diagnosed.”

“The player will return to Collecchio in the coming hours, and, together with the medical staff, will undergo further specialist consultations in the coming days to better determine the prognosis.” Drobnic has played two Serie A matches and one Coppa Italia match so far this season.
