F1: Charles Leclerc isn’t having it: “There’s too much talk about Ferrari. Baku? Good memories.”

The race is in Baku (scheduled for Saturday, not Sunday). Charles Leclerc is dreaming of his first victory at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

“First victory here? I don’t know; qualifying is definitely the area where we struggle the most. We need to prepare for qualifying properly. There are so many variables that change from one Grand Prix to the next. It’s definitely a track I really like—one that’s given me a lot of satisfaction—but in qualifying, that is. Let’s hope we do well in the race too,” said the Monegasque driver during the drivers’ media day.

On the subject of rivals, Charles Leclerc is clear: “McLaren has come back strong, while we need to get back on track. Mercedes, however, remains ahead of everyone.”

The Monegasque driver also weighed in on the endless talk about Ferrari in recent weeks: “As always, I think there’s too much talk about Ferrari, and I don’t think that’s fair.”
