Inter: When Will Curtis Jones Return After His Injury? His Condition

A disappointing development for Inter following the long international break: Nerazzurri coach Cristian Chivu will have to do without a key player as the league resumes on Saturday, October 10, at 6:00 p.m. against Parma.

Midfielder Curtis Jones was forced to stop during Thursday morning’s training session due to a muscle injury. The English player reportedly suffered a thigh injury during the session at Appiano Gentile and will be unavailable to Chivu for some time.

“Curtis Jones underwent clinical and diagnostic tests this morning at the Humanitas Institute in Rozzano. The tests revealed a myofascial strain in the adductors of his right thigh. His condition will be reevaluated in the coming days.”

This is a setback for Chivu, who had planned to start him—in part to manage the fitness of players returning from international duty. Nicolò Barella will likely take his place, alongside Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrik Mkhitaryan.

The length of Jones’s absence remains to be determined; he will undergo further tests in a few days to determine the next steps. The medical staff and Chivu remain cautious, given the significant number of matches to be played between now and the end of the year. He will definitely miss the games against Parma and Bruges in the Champions League. In cases like this, the layoff can last up to three weeks.
