Everton vs. Chelsea is a match for Matchday 7 of the Premier League: the two teams take the field at 1:30 p.m. The Toffees have drawn four of their last five matches and are hoping to return to winning ways in front of their home crowd: they currently sit in fourth place with 10 points and remain undefeated in the league. Xabi Alonso’s Blues, also on 10 points, are coming off a convincing home win against Bournemouth.

Barry is Everton’s center forward, supported in the attacking midfield by Johnson, Dewsbury-Hall, and Grealish. Garner and Armstrong anchor the midfield, while Maitland-Niles and Mykolenko play on the wings.

Xabi Alonso fields a front three of Palmer, Joao Pedro, and Rogers. Pedro Neto and Chavarria play on the wings, with Henderson and Caicedo directing play in the center. Gittens will be out due to injury.

Everton vs. Chelsea: Probable Lineups
Everton (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Maitland-Niles, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Garner, Armstrong; Johnson, Dewsbury-Hall, Grealish; Barry. Head Coach: Moyes.
Chelsea (3-4-3): Sanchez; Acheampong, Lacroix, Colwill; Pedro Neto, Henderson, Caicedo, Chavarria; Palmer, Joao Pedro, Rogers. Head Coach: Xabi Alonso.

Xabi Alonso provided an update on the injury situation during a press conference: “Emegha isn’t ready; he’s been feeling a little discomfort. He’ll train next week, but he’s not yet 100% ready to play in the match. He’s 1.95 meters tall, he’s fast, he attacks the spaces, and he’s a threat. But he needs to be in top form, and right now he’s had a few minor issues, so unfortunately he hasn’t been available. As for Gittens, it will still take a few more weeks.”
