Inter pulls off a comeback victory in Bologna: Cristian Chivu’s team bounced back immediately after their midweek Champions League loss, defeating the Rossoblu 3-1 at the Dall’Ara Stadium in their Serie A Matchday 7 clash. The Nerazzurri climb to 19 points, leading the standings, while Bologna remains stuck at 5.

The Italian champions didn’t play a great first half; the home team posed the greater threat through Piccoli, who was then forced to leave the game at the half-hour mark due to injury. In the 18th minute, Palladino’s team opened the scoring with a long-range shot by Pobega, as Martinez failed to make the save.

In the 44th minute, after nearly conceding a second goal on a counterattack, Inter equalized thanks to Marcus Thuram, who headed in a cross from Barella. Just before halftime, Pio Esposito nearly put Inter ahead, but Skorupski was alert.

The pace slowed in the second half, but Carlos Augusto was the game-changer: the Brazilian winger came on in the 69th minute and immediately scored to make it 2-1, then in the 84th minute provided the assist for Bonny’s third goal, which sealed the victory. Bologna faded, and the Italian champions extended their lead over Lazio to +3.
