On a spectacular evening at the Parc des Princes, Paris Saint-Germain reaffirmed its status as European champion by defeating one of its toughest rivals, Barcelona, 4-2 in a match for Matchday 3 of the Champions League group stage.

Luis Enrique’s team went into halftime ahead thanks to a goal by Doué, but Hansi Flick’s men tied the game early in the second half with a goal by Espart. Hernandez put the Parisians back in front in the 72nd minute, but in the 79th minute, Lamine Yamal struck back with a stunning goal on the counterattack. PSG reestablished their dominance in the final minutes: Vitinha in the 81st minute and Fabian Ruiz in the 86th minute sealed the victory.

In the standings, PSG remains undefeated, as does Liverpool, which narrowly defeated Villarreal 4-3 after coming back from a 0-2 deficit. Mac Allister (two goals), Araujo, and Wirtz scored the winning goals.

Atlético Madrid drew 1-1 in Stuttgart despite Hjulmand’s second-half ejection, while PSV pulled off a major upset on the road against Porto.
