2026-2027 Serie A: Venezia vs. Inter—Probable Lineups and Where to Watch It on TV

At the “Pierluigi Penzo” stadium on Wednesday at 6:45 p.m., a clash between the top and bottom of the Serie A standings takes center stage, with last-place Venezia hosting Inter, which is currently in second place but could potentially return to the top (tying with Lazio) with a win. The match will be simulcast on Sky Sport (streaming on Now) and DAZN: on the latter, it will also be part of the “Diretta Serie A” lineup alongside coverage of Milan vs. Bologna and Parma vs. Udinese, which are being played at the same time.
Venezia, which had tasted the joy of its first win—a 1-0 victory over Napoli—following Davide Nicola’s arrival as head coach, then lost its next match on the road against Genoa by the same score, thus remaining in last place in the standings with just three points from eight games. The coach, who took over from Giovanni Stroppa, is focusing on consistency, with only one real change from the last match: Pasquale Mazzocchi is expected to start on the left wing in place of Ridgeciano Haps from the 1st minute.
As for Inter, however, Cristian Chivu might make a few changes to the starting lineup, partly in preparation for Saturday’s derby against Milan. Dimarco will almost certainly return to the starting lineup, while Carlos Augusto is expected to start in defense in place of Akanji. Hakan Calhanoglu is likely to be on the bench, with Aleksandar Stankovic—brother, incidentally, of Venezia goalkeeper Filip—expected to take his place in midfield. Up front, Bonny and Pio Esposito will start, with the latter edging out Thuram for the spot.
Probable Lineups
VENEZIA (3-5-2): F. Stankovic; Halhal, Moreno, Juan Jesus; Hainaut, Kike Perez, Basic, Sohm, Mazzocchi; Yeboah, Adams. Coach: Nicola.
INTER (3-5-2): Provedel; Bisseck, Bastoni, Carlos Augusto; Spence, Barella, A. Stankovic, Zielinski, Dimarco; Bonny, Pio Esposito. Coach: Chivu.
