Juventus: Paolo Di Canio Mocks a Juventus Player

Juventus suffered a crushing defeat in Genoa, and Luciano Spalletti’s entire team is under fire. The Bianconeri have already lost three of their first nine games and are 11 points behind the leader, and 6 points out of the Champions League zone.
Among the harshest critics is Paolo Di Canio, who was ruthless on Sky toward certain players, most notably Andrea Cambiaso: “He runs after the opponent like a child instead of heading toward the goal… This team has no soul; there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Players like Kalulu, who used to be a sure thing in terms of reliability, can’t make these mistakes.”
“It’s truly chaos at Juve. I don’t understand how they’ll ever find a solution. Against Lecce, things might go your way because you start with a cautious 3-5-2 and find a way to score—partly because many teams in Italy aren’t that strong—but it can’t always go your way. As far as the Scudetto is concerned, I’ve never considered Juve a contender, simply because this team lacks both identity and spirit.”
After the match, Luciano Spalletti apologized to the fans: “In the first half, we also had two crucial scoring chances, but we weren’t able to capitalize on them. It’s a bit hard to accept the current reality of the level of pace, strength, and tackling. Sooner or later, we have to come to terms with the fact that we need to raise the bar physically.”
