Jannik Sinner bows to the new No. 1: “What did you do?”

From one number one to another, congratulations are pouring in from the world of tennis as well. Jannik Sinner celebrates Kimi Antonelli’s triumph, as Antonelli became the Formula 1 world champion after finishing third in the Mexican Grand Prix. The driver from Bologna has made history for Italian sports, and among the first to congratulate him was the Italian tennis star himself.
Sinner chose to dedicate a video message to him, broadcast by Sky Sport, in which he addressed the young champion directly with a smile: “Hi Kimi, what have you managed to do? Congratulations on your first world title.”
A spontaneous and heartfelt message that speaks to the mutual respect between the two champions. In fact, this isn’t the first time Sinner and Antonelli have exchanged congratulations on each other’s successes, even though they compete in different sports and are often thousands of kilometers apart.
Last September, incidentally, Sinner was also in Monza to witness Antonelli’s triumph at the Italian Grand Prix in person. Now, following the most significant victory of the driver’s career, his message of congratulations has arrived: one champion paying tribute to another.
