NFL, James Garoppolo out for rest of season
Injury-plagued career for Garoppolo
Another injury, yet another of his career. In the game he won against Miami (33-17), San Francisco lost starting QB Garoppolo for the rest of the season. ESPN reports a left foot billing. “I saw him at halftime and he was very shaken up. It sucks when that happens,” Comrade Bosa’s words.
With Garoppolo and Lance both out with injuries (they will not return until next season), the 49ers’ starting QB role is now in Purdy’s hands. Chosen in the NFL Draft with call number 262, he had seen very little of the season before taking the field against Miami. Replacing Garoppolo will be a far from easy task. At the moment, San Francisco has a decidedly good record (8-4).
