Inter, Giuseppe Marotta’s shrug.
Beppe Marotta is back on the draw with Monza
Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta has returned to the Monza draw, with the meneghini getting caught up in the 93rd minute after the dubious cancellation of the 1-2 Acerbi goal that would have sealed the game.
“Monza? I am bitter because in any case that regular goal would have allowed us to win. But players make mistakes, managers and coaches make mistakes, so it seems fair and human that the referee also makes mistakes. Reflections on Var? Certainly yes, the whistle generated the uselessness of Var and so this leads to reflections. More shrewdness is needed from all components,” explained the Nerazzurri executive, interviewed by ‘Sportmediaset’.
Then Marotta also commented on Lukaku’s less-than-stellar period, still stuck with only one goal in the league, scored on the first day against Lecce: “Lukaku had accustomed us to having good games in his previous experience, but this year his stay at Inter is punctuated by difficult situations to manage. The hope is that he can regain that athletic form that will allow him to score the goals we were used to seeing in his previous experience.”
