A new name for Cagliari’s defense
In recent weeks, Cagliari’s management has been probing the ground in search of an experienced central defender to reinforce Claudio Ranieri’s roster. In addition to those of Vlad Chiriches and Matteo Bianchetti (profiles eyed in recent days), the name of Alessandro Tuia is also up on Nereo Bonato’s list.
The Lecce center back has collected just 2 appearances this season (with Napoli and Torino) and has a contract expiring in June, a factor that could convince the Salento management to lower their demands about the player’s valuation.
Raised in Lazio’s youth academy, Tuia has also worn the jerseys of Monza, Foligno, Salernitana and Benevento.
