Sofia Goggia decided to do only the combined SuperG
Sofia Goggia at Rai microphones just before the start of the women’s combined, the opening race of the World Championships in Meribel, clarified her intentions and the reason for her participation.
“The slope is really beautiful, somewhat spring-like snow,” she told Rai, “I will do the superG of the combined to have an extra lap on the slope in view of the actual superG and the downhill.
The Bergamo-born skier, who will therefore not be doing the afternoon slalom, thus wanted to test herself ahead of the upcoming SuperG race next Wednesday, and the downhill run scheduled for Saturday.
