Former Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon spoke, interviewed by ‘La Stampa’, about the Bianconeri’s new signing Angel Di Maria, with whom he shared the locker room in the season he played at Paris Saint-Germain.
“He has always been a bit in the shadows and honestly I have never understood why: he has nothing to envy anyone, soccer follows logics that are not always understandable. We are talking about an absolute top player, yet capable of sacrificing himself for his teammates: in my team he would always play. He is a great shot, moreover, at a zero parameter. I have the feeling that in Italy he is not fully perceived, but they will quickly realize Angel’s value,” recounted the Parma extreme defender.
