The 31-year-old defender is now the soul of the HCL team
In the post-match of the Europa League match drawn with Nantes (1-1), Danilo made known how the negotiations for his contract renewal with the Bianconeri club are progressing: “We are close, there is still a little something missing but it is not important now. It is my will and the club’s will but now we think about scoring points on the pitch.”
The agreement would be found on the basis of a one-year extension (Danilo’s current contract expires in June 2024) but with an option for the next one as well. The Brazilian’s salary is expected to remain unchanged (around four million euros per season). Now only the classic white smoke is awaited. Danilo is now a pillar of the team.
