Spal, Oddo wants to close the books: ‘I expect enthusiasm’
Estensi expected to face a decisive challenge against Brescia
After the victory in Benevento, Spal are expected to have another fiery match at home against Brescia: “I believe in salvation, I am convinced of it otherwise I would not be here. I know that this team can grow further, we won a difficult game in Benevento and this increases the possibility of reaching salvation from a real point of view, but ideally I am sure.”
“I imagine tomorrow there will be great enthusiasm from the fans for this game, because we return to play at home after an away win. I expect an even warmer crowd, but it is a warmth that we have to earn on the field minute by minute, and if the curve will sing for the whole 90 minutes, then it means we will have succeeded.”
On the early retreat: “We did it to get the group used to the struggle. I don’t think it’s the retreat that makes you win games, in fact many times it can be detrimental, for us it’s a choice shared with the club and made to create the right mentality. If done in this way it can serve, but I repeat not for the purpose of winning, but to create more awareness of the moment we are living because when you face these periods everything is important, even the attention to detail. We are trying to create an identity, a more combative team, that has the characteristics that are needed in these moments.”
