MotoGP, Marco Bezzecchi in Q1: “A technical problem, but I’m not far away”

A failure to enter Q2 directly does not erase optimism.

Marco Bezzecchi finished in a disappointing 12th position on Friday in Jerez, and will have to play the qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix from Q1. At the end of the day, however, he wanted to explain what had happened, adding that the feelings are still good.

“This morning I was not perfect, I struggled a bit – admitted Bezzecchi – In braking I did not feel comfortable and I was not fast. In the afternoon session, however, we made a good step forward. I had a very good pace with the used tire, both medium and soft, but a technical problem made everything more complicated.”

“For the time attack, I couldn’t get on track with moto 1, my favorite. I used the 2 which was set very similar to the first session and I couldn’t hit Q2. I am not far from the top, but tomorrow I will be forced to go through Q1,” Bezzecchi recalled.
