F1, Pirelli: new type of tires coming soon
Pirelli will introduce a new type of “reinforced” slick tires starting with the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, whose race weekend is scheduled between July 7 and 9. It was the Circus’ own tire supplier who made the request to the FIA, which granted it, with the moiivation of the significant increase in the performance of the single-seaters compared to last year. The new tires will be available to teams as early as the first two practice sessions of the Spanish Grand Prix in three weeks’ time.
