VR46, open-hearted Uccio on Marco Bezzecchi
MotoGp, Uccio gets out of line on Marco Bezzecchi’s future
With just over a week to go before the Mugello GP, Alessio “Uccio” Salucci spoke on the growth path of Team Mooney VR46 and its two riders Marco Bezzecchi and Luca Marini. “Both of them grew a lot during the winter and when they saw the team’s improvements they improved as well. They are always ready to give 110 percent. Marco and Luca wanted to become riders fighting for the top positions and in doing so they gave a big hand to the team to grow,” Valentino Rossi’s right-hand man began as reported by “GPone”
“I’m not worried about market rumors. I would like Ducati to leave Bezzecchi another year with us. After all, our team works to get its riders to the official teams. This is what the project was born for, and I think it would not even be fair to keep Marco for his entire career. If Ducati wanted to put him in Pramac I would not be so happy. I have talked to Dall’Igna a couple of times already and I would like Bez to be able to stay in VR46 with an official bike and a direct contract with Ducati,” added the Mooney VR46 team manager.
Finally, Uccio wanted to dwell on the rivalry with Bagnaia: “Right now between the two there is a sincere rivalry and I hope it lasts. Each is trying to beat the other and in doing so they are raising the bar more and more. That is the strength of the Academy.”
