F1, Max Verstappen reveals how he sees himself at 40 years of age
In an interview with the Spanish newspaper “As,” Max Verstappen, responding to a question about Fernando Alonso and the Asturian’s chances of winning Sunday’s Monaco Grand Prix, told how he sees himself at the age of 40, a goal he will reach in the still very distant 2037. The quotes are reported by formulapassion.co.uk.
“I know Fernando thinks he can achieve his 33rd win here and, honestly, I would like to see him win. He should have won many more races than he has so far, as well as world titles. To see him still at this level at 41 is crazy and I have a lot of respect for him.”
“Me at 40 in the Circus? Yes, but possibly on the yacht watching the race (laughing, ed.). I would say not in the car, but never say never. However, I think I will be on the boat having a drink. I already have many projects I want to do outside of Formula 1, but we’ll see. Should I continue to have a competitive single-seater, it will be very difficult to say goodbye to the sport.”
