Lewis Hamilton, progress on renewal
Lewis Hamilton’s words
Lewis Hamilton spoke on the eve of the Canadian Grand Prix weekend, “Montreal is one of all drivers’ favorite circuits because of the city, the energy and the track that has long straights but also sections that make it feel like a go-kart track. Plus the strong braking that has often been a strength of mine.”
“We have a lot of confidence and have made a lot of progress. The last race gave the whole team a good atmosphere. There is the right energy in the factory now, we are in the right direction. We come here and we don’t know if this track will prove to be suitable for the characteristics of the W14. If I do the rain dance? I don’t think it’s necessary, because it will almost certainly rain.”
Closing remark on the future: “I have seen Toto Wolff several times and we have a great relationship, but on the renewal there is nothing more to say. There is progress, but nothing new to add.”
