Tonali away from Milan, Mancini is alarmed
Italian national team coach Roberto Mancini to Sky briefly commented on the transfer of Sandro Tonali from AC Milan to Newcastle.
“On the one hand there is displeasure, if a young and good player like Tonali leaves Italy it means there is some problem. On the other, however, he will need to play in the Premier League, on a technical level it is good for him,” are the words of the Azzurri’s coach.
Tonali is about to move to Spurs for a sum close to 80 million euros in total, and in London he will earn a salary of 8 million euros a year, plus two in bonuses. In addition to him, another pillar of the Azzurri like Federico Chiesa could soon say goodbye to Serie A: several English clubs including Newcastle are looking for him.
