Cristiano Ronaldo away, one of his teammates speaks out
Reached by the BBC, Raphael Varane spoke about his experience at Manchester United, which began in 2021: “Although the first season did not go in the best way, I do not regret the choice I made. I wanted to try something new after so many years at Real Madrid.”
At home in the Red Devils, the Cristiano Ronaldo issue continues to hold sway. The Portuguese star player is at the center of several market talks but for Varane it is nothing new: “When one is so popular it can happen, you are often involved in certain rumors. All I can say is that it is a pleasure for me to work with him.”
Apparently, CR7 has received a financially scary offer from a club in Saudi Arabia, which has reportedly offered him 250 million euros in salary for two years. The proposal also includes 30 million euros for United and 20 million euros for the intermediaries who will be in charge of making the deal a reality.
