Cagliari on Prati, but competition gets tough
Matteo Prati remains in Cagliari’s crosshairs
Matteo Prati remains a major market target of Cagliari, and not even the €10 million demand from Spal, the current owner of the player’s card, was able to make the management of the newly promoted club in the A league take a step back.
The competition, however, is getting fiercer and fiercer: in recent days the names of Sassuolo, Bologna, and even Italian champion Napoli had already been mentioned for the Estensi’s midfielder and the National Under-20 vice-world champion. ‘La Nuova Ferrara’ then reports the interest of Bundesliga and Premier League clubs.
Prati, born in 2003, made his professional debut with Ravenna in the Serie C 2021/22. The following year he landed at Spal, closed with bitter relegation but also with the satisfaction of personal growth and the call by U20 coach Carmine Nunziata for the brilliant rainbow expedition to Argentina.
