First win in the GT World Challenge for Valentino Rossi, who at the wheel of the WRT team BMW triumphed in race 2 of the Misano round along with teammate Maxime Martin.

After the race the Doctor did not hide his joy at winning on his home track, “It could not have gone better, winning the first race in this championship here in Miano is really special. We knew we were strong, especially after Martin had placed the car on the second row, but winning is a different story. I had also won at Le Mans, but this is the main championship, the level is very high.”

“I started here just a year and a half ago, it was tough at first and the level immediately proved to be very high. This year is the fourth podium and today in the race anything could have happened,” are the words reported by Gpone.

“The guys did an incredible job, I came out of the pits with a five-second margin and I had a great pace, it was fantastic. I thank Maxime and the guys, the atmosphere is fantastic. I also thank BMW, I want to keep going like this.”
