Sepp Kuss mortgages Vuelta de España, Poels wins penultimate stage

Sepp Kuss has mortgaged the Vuelta de España 2023: the U.S. rider of Jumbo-Visma retained the red jersey of general classification leader even after the 20th stage of the competition, the 208-kilometer Manzanares El Real-Guadarrama. The stage è was won by Poels in a sprint ahead of Evenepoel.

Kuss made it through the 10 third-category GPMs that characterized the stage unscathed, keeping the distances unchanged from his direct pursuers, his teammates Jonas Vingegaard and Primoz Roglic, proving how Jumbo-Visma dominated the race (and the entire 2023 Grand Tours, given the successes at the Giro d'Italia and the Tour).

Fourth place for Juan Ayuso of Uae Team Emirates, then Mikel Landa of Bahrain Victorious and Enric Mas of the Movistar team. Back Evenepoel, twelfth at 40', while the first Italian in the ranking è Antonio Tiberi, eighteenth.
