Lecce, Roberto D’Aversa: “Wrong assessments, but don’t be an alibi”
Clear words at the end of the game, including those addressed to the team.
Lecce defeated by Juventus, but with their heads held high. So much so that Roberto D'Aversa in the post-match at the Allianz Stadium dwelled on some refereeing episodes, while adding that his team (in its first defeat of the season in Serie A) must focus on something else.
"I have the feeling that some evaluations were wrong. That said, forò, we did not lose because of the refereeing episodes – said D'Aversa at the microphones of 'DAZN' -. On Rabiot’s deflection on a corner, the Var could also not intervene. My players then are correct, and I am sure that Kaba did not want to simulate. We lose him for these two yellows, and he è an important player. I want to però make it clear that these are not alibis for my players".
There'è then also some regrets about the course of the game. Così D'Aversa: "In the first half we did very well in the defensive phase, conceding little. We could però do better in ball possession, as we forced some plays. I am sorry for the result, then we could certainly do better. This beyond; moreà or less favorable episodes".
"Our game è was nevertheless very good, since we were facing Juventus. A team that, I am convinced, will fightà for the Scudetto until the end", concluded D'Aversa.
