Trieste, Jamion Christian: the message to the pre-derby fans
Jamion Christian’s words ahead of derby with Udine
Trieste Basketball coach Jamion Christian presented in a press conference the derby against Apu Udine, scheduled for Sunday at 9 p.m. "We have to pay attention to possession of the ball, making sure we find an offensive solution every time we attack,” he stressed. ’The efficiency of the offense has been really remarkable this year when we have taken care of possession, è it is fundamental for us. From what I could see in the last few weeks, we have a lot of good players on offense who are learning to play together. &Eegrave; a derby, so it is mostly about managing emotions in the right way and understanding that the game has a’huge importance. This is not è only important for us and the standings, but also for our fans. We always try to make sure that our fans leave here excited for the continuation of the championship".
“You know, they have good experience in every position and the guys really understand what they have to do. They are a very solid team with no real weaknesses: excellent on defense and strong on offense. So, è it’s essential for us to play our best to create solutions both in defense and offense" added the coach of the red and white.
He then made an appeal to the fans: "We ask our fans to continue to support us, cheer us on and give that’energy. Our players love playing here; many of them, even in free choice, have decided to stay here or come here because of our fans. This gives them the opportunity to be part of this journey. We are just at the’beginning and we are aware of that. We simply ask for your support, to put your love and passion behind our team so that we can give our best. We and the boys are really confident that we will succeed as a team to make you proud throughout the season".
" It will be great to have Filloy and Reyes back on the court. They have only played two games together so far, having both available as the season progresses will be critical. With Brooks and Ruzzier continuing to improve, I really like the direction the group is moving in. Sometimes it might be hard to see how much they are growing, but as a coach who watches them every day, I can see the chemistry building between them. Thatè thatè is really exciting becauseé as their chemistry develops, these guys have the ability to create plays with each other on the court, beyond what we as coaches teach" concluded Christian.
