An old face of our league aims to start over from his past.
Federico Bernardeschi è has been away from Serie A for a season and a half now, but he could soon return and not only to Italy. His clear intention, in fact, è to wear again one of the jerseys that most marked his career in his homeland. In fact, he himself has clearly expressed this willà.
The Carrara-born striker, who will play for Toronto FC in MLS from July 2022, è in fact showed up at Continassa to visit his old Juventus teammates. It was here that he è indulged in greetings from Bianconeri fans, one of whom asked him if his presence represented a hint of his possible return in January. Well, his answer, as clear as it was lapidary, è was: "Let’s hope".
Bernardeschi, a product of Fiorentina’s youth team, had made his professional debut for Crotone in Serie B. His first season in the top league came in 2014 in a purple shirt. After three years he then moved to Juventus, for which he played five seasons. In between was also the adventure at Euro 2020, where he graduated as champion of Europe.
