A harsh note comes from FIP, which stigmatizes what happened on a basketball court in the Veneto region. "On the day of Giulia Cecchettin’s funeral, at such a painful and sad moment for the whole country, the Italian Basketball Federation, having learned what happened in Padua during an Under-17 championship game with the shameful insults and threats aimed at the girl who was refereeing that game, stigmatizes and firmly condemns such intolerable and unjustifiable behavior" there it reads.
The competent Justice Bodies of the Federation are taking the appropriate disciplinary measures.
