Marc Marquez unveils his future and quotes Valentino Rossi
Marc Marquez: “I believe in Honda, but it has to change. I want to race as early as 2022”
Marc Marquez at a press conference in Spielberg, Austria, took stock of his physical condition: “Everything is going well now. We are going slowly, but safely, in the right direction. This recovery is crucial. I feel good, I have an arm that has had four surgeries, but now it is starting to function normally.”
The number 93 centaur wants to return to racing in 2022: “I would like to run at least one more race in this World Championship, I don’t know if I can run one or more races, next week I will take stock together with the doctors with a CT scan, and then we will decide together. Of course I will also start working towards the 2023 season.”
A message to Honda, which has fallen behind its competitors: “I want a winning bike, but the category is changing: now the bikes are taller, bigger, the engineers have to understand these things, I can suggest what the weak points are, but it is the engineers who have the numbers in hand, I believe in them.”
On Alex Marquez’s unexpected move to “rival” Ducati named Valentino Rossi: “Alex is my brother, we live together. I try to help him, he tries to help me, they also do it at Valentino Rossi’s Ranch, they all train together and improve. I have the opportunity to be able to train with my brother, but he will keep his secrets with his team and I will keep mine, we have a close relationship, but I can’t ask him to tell me the secrets of Ducati when he starts racing with Team Gresini.”
