Faravelli’s wines among lace and embroidery

In the charming old town of Cantù the exhibition "Lace and Embroidery from the’Nineteenth Century to Today" ended with great success. The beautiful courtyards of the town hosted this traditional exhibition dedicated to’the art of lace and embroidery. The event was attended by many visitors, who were fascinated by the masterpieces on display and the unique atmosphere of the event.

In the Hydrangea Courtyard at 33 Via Matteotti, visitors were able to admire the works of Rita Bargna, a master of art and craft, along with 19th-century pieces from her extensive private collection. Each artifact on display testified to the extraordinary skill and dedication with which Bargna cultivated the art of lace, paying homage to a tradition that continues to enchant generations.

Not far away, embroiderer Barbara Trestini Trimarchi’s atelier presented a collection of her needlework, inspired by Rosa Genoni’s sketches. Among the most appreciated works were reproductions of sketches inspired by the great masters of art such as Giotto and Renaissance masterpieces, such as the Leonardesque knot in the Sala delle Asse at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan. In particular, a capsule of costumes inspired by the master Poiret on the theme of the rose, created for Genoni’s Median Opera “Anima” in 1933, aroused great interest, representing the stylistic testament of the famous designer.

Elisabetta Invernici, creator and curator of the project “Rosa Genoni MilanoLab”, dialogued with the two artists, surrounded by an attentive and passionate audience. The ’meeting è was a moment of discussion and celebration of the art of embroidery, enriched by the presence of Antonio Faravelli, ambassador of the project and representative of the Vitea and Golf and Wine 1895 wineries. The evening ended with a final toast amidst applause, accompanied by Faravelli’s bubbles and the ever-present Krumiri Rossi, a symbol of conviviality and tradition.
