Virtus Bologna: Luca Baraldi no-nonsense on Nico Mannion

No doubt about the 21-year-old’s future

First the rumors of a farewell, then the sudden push toward renewal: the marriage between Nico Mannion and Virtus Bologna seems indeed destined to continue, at least according to what Luca Baraldi, CEO of the Vu nere, said during the press conference presenting the 2022/23 season ticket campaign.

“We have been waiting for Nico for a year,” Baraldi told reporters. “He arrived in a precarious physical condition but we have trained and supported him: his level, now, can be seen. I really hope that everyone, including his entourage, understands that wanting to keep him here is in his best interest.”

“We want Nico to stay with us as long as possible,” added the executive of the Bologna club. “That is why we are working on the renewal of his contract. But I have no doubt: he will stay here with us.”
