Como, not only Pau Lopez: Pepe Reina is also on the way.
Between the posts there could be two alternatives of the highest prestige.
Calciomercato Como: Pepe Reina could make a return to Italy, under the orders of old friend and national teammate Cesc Fabregas. This is the big news for the Lombardi market, which, moreover, does not seem to disregard the arrival of the other big target for the Larian posts: the former Napoli, Milan and Lazio player could in fact be accompanied by Pau Lopez.
'Sky Sport' gave the news for certain on Friday evening: Pepe Reina, currently unemployed after his experience in his homeland at Villarreal, would have found an agreement with Como for one season only. It is likely for him to be used as a luxury alternative, especially if the Azzurri should also take the negotiations for Pau Lopez to the end.
The latter, class of 1994, remains in fact the very first target of Como. He was also talked about 'Marca', according to which the agreement will be found on the basis of a loan with a buy-back obligation in case of salvation of the Larians. The Olympique Marseille extreme defender (who has already tasted Serie A for two seasons, wearing the Roma jersey) appears, however, destined to speak Spanish with his wardmate as well.
For Reina, who was born in 1982, however, it would be a return to Italy after a two-season return to his homeland. His experience at Rafa Benitez’s Napoli, which then continued for three seasons, is well known. Less happy was his parenthesis at AC Milan, where for a year and a half he was Gigio Donnarumma’s backup. The two years at Lazio spent instead with a real dualism with Thomas Strakosha.
