The Blue's adventure on Croatian soil has come to an end.

Matteo Arnaldi exits at the ATP 250 tournament in Umag. Fatal for the Ligurian was the clash with the French Alexandre Muller, who was able to beat him in two sets that were actually very tight as shown by the total duration of almost two and a half hours and the final scorecard: 7-6(8), 6-4. The Italian thus misses out on advancing to the round of 16 of the tournament being held on Croatian clay.

The first set was completed in almost an hour and a quarter, with no particular jolt until 3-3. Indeed, in the seventh game comes Muller’s break, which leaves Arnaldi with 0 points and takes the lead. The tenth game is consumed after no less than 26 points and five match points canceled: è the sixth to give the victory to the Frenchman.
