roster.

Cantù Basketball announced on Friday that it has reached an agreement with Grant Basile, a 206 cm by 106 kg, 206 cm class 2000 wing-center. Coming out of Wright State University, he attracted the attention of Tortona, which turned him twice on loan, first to Pistoia and then to Orzinuovi, thus accumulating experience in both A and A2.

"We close the roster with the addition of a player I have already worked with in the past – è the point, in this regard, of coach Nicola Brienza to the official channels of the Brianza club -, an occasion in which I had the opportunity to appreciate his technical and human qualities. I think he is a player who is able to fit perfectly into our roster and therefore will be able to make a great contribution to the team, to try to make the best and thus fight for our
goals".

"I am very excited and happy,” said Basile, “to be able to play for a historic team like Cantù. I thank the club for this opportunityà. I can’t wait to be able to play in front of one of the best fans in Italy. We are looking forward to a great season together".

Pallacanestro Cantù will play in the A2 Series for the fourth consecutive year, after being relegated from A in 2020/2021. In the three years played in the second series, the biancoblù have twice made it to play for the promotion final, losing to Scafati in 2022 and Trieste in 2024.
