MotoGp, Ducati: Pecco Bagnaia winks at Enea Bastianini
Pecco Bagnaia puts teammate in the lot of favorites
Despite the third place with which he ended his Friday at Silverstone, site of the British Grand Prix, MotoGp world champion Pecco Bagnaia is satisfied with the performance of the factory team’s Ducati to the point of including his teammate, Enea Bastianini, in the lot of favorites for success in Saturday’s and Sunday’s races.
"For now Martin è the fastest – said to the microphones of 'Sky Sport' the centaur from Piedmont -. Forò there is no doubt that also Enea (fourth at the end of Friday’s practice, ed) is doing well and canò do very well in the race. Let's also not forget the Aprilia, which is going strong here, but in general we hope to be the ones to beat".
Some problems, actually, Bagnaia had, as he himself admitted: "We decided to use the medium tire as much as possible because tomorrow è temperatures are expected to drop, but that compound did not guarantee me effectiveness in braking. Sector 3 was usually my forte, today I struggled also because of that".
" In any case, in the race we should use just the medium – Bagnaia explained again speaking about Sunday’s race -. As for Saturday’s Sprint Race, however, è much more likely that we will use the softest compound available".
